Ethan loved his first try in the Johnny Jump Up. He also still loves being wrapped like a mummy! Grandma Clarke calls him "tamale man".

Ethan is a happy baby. He loves to laugh and smile, especially at his sister. His hair is curly and loves to stick up! He's always watching something (usually Kaylin) and his eyes are always wide open. He also loves sleeping in the swing and is the most adorable thing when he's asleep! (aren't all kids?)

Jaundice in the NICU

He had to wear purple eye patches in the incubator under Bili Lights. The Jaundice was gone in 2 days.

He had an oxygen tube, a feeding tube and an IV.

A Baby Boy

First time holding him. He was 7 days old. Still wating through a tube, but he didn't need all his IV's. Still on oxygen though.

Sweet Ethan boy. He was so sweet. While all the other babies would cry and fuss, he was so calm and quiet. His nurses loved him.
Ethan Chase was born March 1, 2005 at 3:35 pm. He was also born 5 weeks early due to high blood pressure and kidney problems. But he wasn't as lucky as his sister. He stayed in the NICU for 10 days until he could come home. He had a concaved chest from pulling in on his lungs to breathe, labored breathing, underdeveloped lungs with fluid in them and couldn't breathe on his own. It was a very hard time for us, but we knew he was being taken care of properly.
